Sorry, but this is a post about my writing. More specifically, it’s a post about my Fictional Work and an introduction to Beyond Parallel. I hope you will join me and continue reading, but I understand if you say goodbye. If that’s the case, I will see you tomorrow.

For those of you intrigued, let me share a few aspects of ME that you may not know:

  • I started a novel six years ago
  • It’s had about 131 rewrites
  • It’s currently having it’s final edit
  • It will be released early 2013

A Long Time Coming

In january I will release my very first novel.

In February I will become a father

The early weeks of 2013 is an exciting/terrifying time. It’s also a time to be proud of. I honestly hope I do my story justice. I hope people like it. I hope it sells more than four copies. I hope my son/daughter likes me and doesn’t scream every time I hold him/her.

However, no matter what happens, I will officially be a doer. No longer a dreamer, but someone who has actually done it. The thought of it makes me all tingly. If you are on the verge of releasing your own book, or recently done so, I’m sure you know what I mean.

Introducing Bella & Clark

First of all, yes, my lead female is called Bella, but I created her before Twilight become popular. Secondly, these are the two star attractions of Beyond Parallel, my coming of age contemporary fiction novel. To offer you a very brief overview of the story:

Beyond Parallel is a coming of age piece of contemporary fiction. The book follows two parallel journeys, one where Bella and Clark fall in love, and another where they never meet. How can a simple, everyday decision change so much? How will the lives of Clark and Bella differ, and is one outcome better than the other?
We could live a billion lives, but we’re only given one. Is it all a matter of chance or are some things meant to be?

I won’t offer too much more right now, but needless to say, I have a busy few months ahead of me. First of all, I’m working with my editor like a mad man. Secondly, I’m creating my Marketing Plan to give it the best start in life.

There’s a great deal to be done, but one of my first steps is to reach out to YOU. Between now and launch day, I hope to develop a mini community of writers and readers. It won’t all be about Beyond Parallel, as I hope ideas will be discussed that will help writers and readers alike. In other words, I want to help introduce great people with other great people.

This will be done via Email and a Facebook Group.

Will You Join Me?

Many things will be discussed in these mini communities. Just a few include:

  • What Book Cover should be used?
  • How can we perfect the Book Blurb and Press Pack?
  • Reviews, Guest Posts, Testimonials, etc
  • Could you be a Beta Reader?
  • What should we do on Launch Day?
  • How can we utilise video, and will you be involved?
  • What designs and artwork should be utilised?
  • Polls, Surveys, and Feedback galore

This is just an initial overview. This list will grow and grow and grow. Being part of this community won’t be a full time job. You can be as involved as much or as little as you like. You won’t get daily emails and I won’t expect hour after hour of work.

It’s simply a place to discuss new things, share each others work, and make Beyond Parallel the best it can be. Simply put, I don’t want to do it all on my own. I NEED YOUR HELP.

I hope you will get involved and I hope you will join me on this journey. I have some really good ideas for this book, but I’m sure they can become GREAT IDEAS with help from you.
