An Epic Six Month Journey

Next week marks the six-month anniversary of self-employment. Never has half a year spun by so fast!

The great thing is, the next six-months will be equally as hectic, and hopefully, twice as awesome.

I’ll become a dad

I’ll publish my debut novel

I’ll complete(ish) my first non-fiction book

I’ll complete the first draft of novel number two

Like I say, some exciting times are awaiting señor Turndog

What To Expect

Some of you, with keen eyes, may have noticed my Blogging activities have become a little less intense in recent weeks. Part of this has been down to a busy period, but most of it’s due to my plan of action.

When I first left my job in May, I wanted to do six months of daily blogging. I wanted to see what did and didn’t work, and for the most part, I’ve figured a great deal out.

Therefore let me introduce you to my new schedule:

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Monday – A Post For Entrepreneurs

Tuesday – A Guest Post (if you’d like to be a Guest, please email me)

Wednesday – Turndog Talks To (video interview)

Thursday – A Post For Writers

Friday – The Turndog Tales (my weekly roundup)

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

As you can see, this means no more weekend posts. I’ve found posting at the weekends the most difficult part of the process, and the reward is often minimal. Therefore my weekends will be reserved for super duper important posts (around a launch for example) and my Turndog Review Posts.

Why The Big Change?

Simply put, I want to give you the best value possible, and as my workload intensifies, this is how I’m going to do it. I knew the first six months were going to be a huge learning curve, and my biggest priority was to gather traffic and feedback.

Overall, everything is going great, and the biggest success has been the lessons learned. I’ve by no means figured it all out, but I’m certainly heading in the right direction.

Step By Step The House Gets Bigger

As most of you will know, I’m building an Author House. It’s getting bigger each and every day, and this website is where most of the action occurs. However, I’ve also made a few other decisions recently, and the biggest involves my Facebook activity.

I’ve decided to use Facebook solely for my writing (both Fiction & Non-Fiction). This means a brand new Personal Account and a dedicated Fan Page for each book.

Please subscribe to my new Facebook Account, and if you want to keep updated with my Fictional Journey, LIKE the Beyond Parallel Page, too.

In the coming weeks I’ll faze out my Turndog Millionaire Fan Page, but don’t worry, this is a good thing. It means those who follow me on Facebook will receive much more valuable content 🙂

Will You Follow My Continued Journey?

I hope you’ll forgive this empty, and somewhat pointless post. I want to keep you in the loop and explain why I’m doing what I’m doing. Frankly, I don’t have all the answers, but I’m learning each day.

Building a platform involves a lot of trial and error, and I hope you can pick up a few ideas from my own experiences. If you have any questions about why I’m doing what I’m doing, please leave it in the comments below

Or if you want a more personal conversation, send me an email.

I hope you’ll continue to follow my journey, the coming months are going to be EPIC.
