When I first heard about Grant Baldwin, and his podcast, and his speaking ways, and the fact that word on the grapevine is he’s awesome, I decided he’d HAD to be part of The Successful Mistake.

So I asked him, and he agreed, and all is right with the world. Talking about his #GreatMistake, and how he learned to validate his ideas, Grant shares a web of wisdom I’m excited to pass on to you… right here… right now. You ready? Good, lets do this!

Don’t forget to leave a review. Reviews help us rise the charts, which leads to awesome more folk like yourself listening

IN THIS SESSION, YOU’LL LEARN:

  • Often one mistake will lead to a better version of a future launch
  • A bad launch can often make you a better entrepreneur
  • Sometimes your buyer and audience will be different people, which means you have you to get into the head of both
  • The normal mentality is to come up with an idea, spend time on it, and build it
  • But if you don’t take time to validate your idea, it’s hard to make the right product for your right audience
  • Let alone get the pricing, the features, and the finer details correct
  • Involving your audience during the process means you build something they need
  • Because they tell you as you go along… they help you hone in on the right ideas
  • Validating your idea can involve giving your product away for free, BUT making them pay could be better
  • Once they pay, they’re invested in the process – they have a greater motivation to provide feedback and help you turn it into something great
  • As well as validating your idea, involving people early in the process improves your chances of making people care
  • Obscurity is often your biggest issue, so starting the process early allows you to spread the word sooner

HIS STORY BASED BIO:

Grant Baldwin gives you the confidence to find and do the work you love. When you think about it, this is rather a worthy cause, because if everyone in the world had a job (or worked on something) they love, the term ‘Blue Monday’ would disappear into the ether forever.

Imagine a world where everyone looked forward to Monday… I can’t do it. It’s too intense, my mind nearly fails me.

So, how does Grant go about this worthy mission? Well he has a rather awesome podcast to start with, and does a whole heap of speaking, too. He creates courses and writes content, and goes about his task of ridding the world of Blue Monday’s each day. I for one admire him for it, although a world without Blue Monday’s may be a world without Blue Monday by New Order. That’s a good song, so maybe you should stop, Grant. Just saying…
