30 annoying days it has taken, but Tales From A Tiny Thai Table is finally FREE on Amazon.
I assumed it would be an easy task, but like most things in life, it had other ideas.
But this is why I wrote Tales From A Tiny Thai Table. As well as building intrigue and drawing the reader into my debut novel, Beyond Parallel, I wanted to see first hand what publishing on Amazon and Smashwords is like. I’ve ready many articles, but there’s nothing like seeing something with your own eyes.
Boy was it a good decision.
Experience Is What Counts
I’m not saying I’m some KDP expert who’s going to write a book about uploading your work, as the truth is I have much to learn. I do know more than I did a few weeks ago, which is pretty darn cool.
My short prequel is the reason for this.
Next Thursday I’m going to upload a post showcasing how I got Tales From A Tiny Thai Table for FREE on Amazon. I want to take some time over the weekend and make sure I get each step down in detail, but first I’m hoping you can help.
What would you like to know?
Is there anything specific you would like me to focus on?
Please, if you have any questions leave them in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer them in next week’s post.
Will You Download Now?
I’ve been reluctant to push Tales From A Tiny Thai Table too much, as I want the majority of downloads to come through Amazon. Let me explain:
- Beyond Parallel will be released via KDP Select
- I want to learn more about Amazon rankings and algorithms first hand
- I want to see how the charts work, and how downloads affect them
- I want to see what reviews can do, and other such aspects
Again, I’ve read many articles on this, but I want to see it with my own eyes. I have two months to analyse how Tales From a Tiny Thai Table reacts, and in doing so I’m sure I’ll learn a great deal.
So, will you download Tales From A Tiny Thai Tale for FREE?
Even if you’ve already downloaded a copy from Smashwords?
Exciting Times Ahead
This is when things get interesting. This is when the countdown begins 🙂
Many people have much to say about making your book available for FREE. I, for one, am not an advocate, but as a marketer I understand the value of giving, connecting, and testing your ideas.
Next Thursday I won’t only provide a step by step guide into making your book available for FREE on Amazon, but in next week’s newsletter (Wednesday) I’ll offer an insight into when you should use FREE to leverage your ideas.
So…if you aren’t part of my newsletter list, why not sign up HERE.
You’d hate to miss out, right?
