Would You Like Some Reviews?
You may have noticed that some people have made quite a name for themselves by doing Amazon Reviews. There’s a hall of fame for them, and if you can get a few of these wonderful people to review your book, well, it can work wonders.
It can be a rather long, drawn out process, but Penny Sansevieri has a method to save you lots and lots of time. I must say, this was new to me, so hopefully it will help you, too. It’s worth a try, right?
The Power Of Story
The more I think about it, the more I appreciate the power they have. By sharing your story you can connect with people on a deep level, and this wonderful find by Bernadette Jiwa showcases a great story!
A small, New York bakery that I may never visit, so why do I care? Because the story is amazing and I feel part of their world. They’ve done nothing special, though, they’ve simply shared their journey. I can do this… you can do this…we can all do this.
It’s a Royal Game
Catherine Ryan Howard shared some exciting news this week: Amazon will now pay you via wireless means, no matter where you are in the world. It’s not that there’s something wrong with cheques, but they are old fashioned, get lost in the mail, are fiddly, and result in paying an exchange fee. All in all they’re annoying.
To have your Amazon royalties paid direct into your bank is happy times. If you’ve yet to change your settings, now is the time.
Music + Books = ???
In Kathy Lynn Harris’s new book, music plays an important role. She talks about the songs that appear in it, but doesn’t stop at talking, oh no, instead she’s created a playlist that the reader can listen along to. It adds a new element to the experience.
I love this! I love the role music plays in her process and how she’s sharing it with the world. On top of that, it seems to be a canny little marketing ploy. Check this out!
The ‘Bloody Hell, Really’ Post
When I fist read this I didn’t think much of it, but then when I thought about it further, I decided that yes, Nate Hoffeider has a very good point!
The premise of ReDigi is pretty good, and I’m sure some form of this will prove popular in the future, but having external software ‘monitor’ your computer? Oh heck no! This isn’t good!
