It’s been rather a while but I’m back to some sort of normality, which means I’m reading and Tweeting Great Blog Posts each morning, which means I have enough material to offer The Turndog Tales: the week’s best news from my Twitter Feed.

I hope this set of posts inspires you like it has me. Here’s to a top Friday and a great end to the week.

Promoting Others Is Far Easier

This article from Catherine McKenzie is one I totally relate to. My background is in marketing, therefore promoting my work should be easy, right? Nope! Promoting others is always cleaner on the soul.

Authors should help other authors, and whether it’s the big helping the small, the small offering a hand to the also small, or vice versa, helping thy author is a good way to go. We’re all in this together after all.

Leo Babauta is a clued up man. This is a subject close to my heart, and as soon as I read it I knew I must share it with everyone today.

We fail. We all fail. Leo fails. It doesn’t mean we’re bad people or failures. It just means we have to find ways to pick ourselves up, do ourselves proud, and move forward step-by-step.

Promote Your Book, Baby

Shannon from Duolit knows a thing or two about Book Promotion. This little article offers a lovely list of do’s and dont’s.

Still a great deal of work to do after reading a post like this, but it’s a good place to start 🙂

The ‘Bloody Hell, Really’ Post

This makes me rather sick, not only for the fact that this ‘writer’ has plagiarized several other’s works, but because they’ve made thousands of dollars doing so.

This book has been in the Top 100 and been out for nearly a year. That’s a decent amount of cash, all for a copy & paste job. Like I say, I feel rather sick!
